Origins and Invention.

Visionary Heinz Stöckler recognizes the need for sturdy, portable roofing systems and develops Europe’s first professional aluminum folding tent.

Pioneering Role in Folding Tent Construction

Pro-Tent creates a new product category and quickly establishes itself as a specialist in folding tent systems for professional use.

1990

First Major Market Success

The 1000 Series is in high demand. It quickly becomes apparent that folding tents are not only suitable for garden parties, but also for trade shows, events, industry, and government agencies

This creates an entirely new market for mobile roofing systems.

1995

Pro-Tent 2000

With the further development of the 2000 Series, Pro-Tent launches the first modular folding tent system on the market. For the first time, a folding tent is accompanied by an extensive range of accessories and customizable extensions.

2000

Founding of Pro-Tent AG

The division, previously operated under Stoeckler Bio Agrar AG, becomes an independent company.

Pro-Tent AG is established.

2001

Innovation of the Omega Profile

Proprietary system technology

With the development and patenting of the Omega groove profile, Pro-Tent lays the foundation for a completely new generation of folding tents: maximum stability in perfect harmony with design and functionality.
The MODUL 4000 is created using the newly developed Omega system profile.

The system is awarded a gold medal at an international inventors’ fair.

Expansion into Japan

New Partnerships

By establishing a long-term distribution partnership in Japan, Pro-Tent enters the Japanese market for the first time. This successful collaboration lays the foundation for a sustainable presence in Asia and reflects the growing international success of the Pro-Tent brand.

Beat Bär’s acquisition of Pro-Tent AG marks the beginning of a new chapter in the company’s history. Under his leadership, the brand is being consistently developed, international expansion is being driven forward, and the focus on innovation and the highest quality standards is being further sharpened.

This sets the stage for positioning Pro-Tent as an international premium provider of professional folding tent solutions.

Production in Europe

Pro-Tent consistently focuses its production on Europe and Switzerland, thereby strengthening its control over quality and manufacturing. Expansion into Germany

With the founding of Pro-Tent GmbH, Pro-Tent opens its own branch in Germany and strengthens its presence in the European market.

Introduction of the Pro-Tent 5000

Stability at a New Level

With the Pro-Tent 5000, Pro-Tent sets a new standard for professional folding tent systems. Designed to meet the highest demands, the new series combines maximum stability with well-thought-out functionality and modular expandability.

The frames are manufactured in Switzerland in collaboration with the BSZ Foundation—thus combining technical innovation, Swiss quality craftsmanship, and social commitment.

Sustainability

Pro-Tent is gradually transitioning its canopies and side walls to GRS-certified recycled polyester fabrics.

This makes sustainability an integral part of the company’s strategy.

Expansion in Europe

With the establishment of its national subsidiaries Pro-Tent Italia, Pro-Tent Austria, and Pro-Tent France, Pro-Tent is systematically expanding its presence in Europe. Having our own local structures enables us to provide even more personalized support, shorter communication channels, and closer ties to customers and partners.

The quality of a product is also reflected in how and with whom it is produced. That’s why we prioritize fair working conditions, carefully selected production processes, and long-term partnerships.

A key component of this is our collaboration with the BSZ Foundation, an ISO 9001-certified organization that employs people with disabilities. The assembly, functional testing, and packaging of our tent systems take place there as a natural part of our production system. This results in high quality that stands the test of time—technically, socially, and in terms of our commitment to people.

For us, responsibility doesn’t end with production. As a sponsor and tent partner, we support sports clubs and events throughout Switzerland—where organization, team spirit, and reliability are essential. In this way, we’re also committed to supporting structures that strengthen the community beyond the gates of our workshop.
