FairwaySports is a golf marketing and event agency founded in 2016. We are your partner for strategy, concept development, and execution of corporate events, sponsorship, and marketing initiatives in the golf industry. FairwaySports is owner-managed, independent, and has over 15 years of experience in the golf event market. How many and which Pro-Tent folding tents do you use, and for what occasions do you use them?
Since 2021, we’ve been using a 4.5 x 3 m 5000 series tent for outdoor events at our golf venues.
For what purposes do you use Pro-Tent tents at these events? (e.g., as a registration tent, sales tent, party tent, weather-protected shelter, …)
The tent serves as a “scoring meeting point,” where players compare and sign their scores after the tournament round. In addition, a champagne reception is held there—hosted by sponsors—to offer players their first refreshments.
What specific requirements did the tents need to meet for you?
Since we intend to use the tent exclusively outdoors in all weather conditions, we placed great emphasis on the folding pavilion’s stability and the quality of its materials. Stability in strong winds was just as important to us as quick setup and takedown.
Were any custom modifications necessary for this? If so, which ones?
We had a photo-quality golf-themed design printed on one-third of the back wall.
How did you learn about Pro-Tent’s folding tents?
Through extensive online research into high-quality tents for outdoor use.
How long have you been using your Pro-Tent folding tent? And has the purchase been worth it for you?
We’ve used the tent at three tournaments during the 2021 season and were able to successfully establish the concept of combining scoring with a reception—so much so that sponsors have already purchased advertising rights for promotions and outreach in this setting.
Do you remember any special moments with your Pro-Tent folding tent?
For us, it was, of course, the first tournament with the tent in May 2021. We were curious to see how players would respond to this spot, located between the end of a round of golf and the club terrace. We were thrilled that it established itself as a “player hangout” right from the start and that sponsors are also interested in using this space.
