BMW Charity Rowing Event: Pro-Tent folding tents at Outdoor Events

All in the Same Boat – BMW Charity Rowing Event
The OBU live marketing event agency organized a charity event on Frankfurt’s Opernplatz for the BMW Frankfurt branch and the Frankfurt Rowing Club Germania to benefit the “Psychological Emergency Aid Frankfurt” program of the Kinderhilfestiftung e. V. On more than 30 rowing machines, well-known figures from the worlds of sports, business, politics, and society competed to raise funds. Passersby were also encouraged to row kilometers on the machines for a good cause. In total, the event raised over 19,000 euros.

As is often the case with outdoor events, having a contingency plan for inclement weather is essential. Furthermore, especially for fundraising events, it’s crucial to stage the entire event in a way that attracts attention. How did you first learn about Pro-Tent as a manufacturer of folding tents?
It came about through a long-standing acquaintance with Elisabeth Deindörfer. I first saw the products at the BOE (Best of Events) trade show, where I also met Kai Schaaf in person again after many years. However, since we had been working happily with another manufacturer for many years at that time and had a large number of tents in stock, there was actually no reason to switch.
What ultimately convinced you to buy from Pro-Tent?
Ultimately, we decided to buy two 4 x 4 m folding tents on a trial basis—and found that the quality was far superior to that of the manufacturer we were using at the time.
How was this higher quality evident?
The Pro-Tent folding tents are very high quality. The stitching is top-notch, the pockets are well-padded, and they’re simply a pleasure to handle. The system seems to be very well thought out. The price matches the quality, and delivery times were always met. So everything’s great so far.
Which Pro-Tent folding tents and accessories do you use at events overall?
We own two Pro-Tent 5000 tents measuring 4 x 4 m and six additional folding tents from another Pro-Tent series measuring 3 x 3 m. We also use tent weights, which are great for adding extra weight to the folding tents. Plus, we have tent connectors.
Would you recommend Pro-Tent folding tents, and will you continue to use them?
Yes, I would definitely recommend the product. I see it being particularly useful in professional settings like trade shows, exhibitions, or festivals, where top quality and appearance play an even bigger role than in a private garden. We’ll continue to use the folding tents at all our events and will purchase all future products from Pro-Tent.
